Shore Stuff
Keansburg - (7 Champs - Last: Paul Liseno in 2017  /  0 Team Titles)
Liam Riecks, the top-seed at 220, will return to the mat after suffering an injury at the SCT. He is looking to become the Titans' first 3-time medal winner since Tyree Sutton in 2015, and their 8th District Champ overall. The Titans also received medal positions seeds for Gavyn Read (120) and Elijah Moore (152) who earned 3-seeds.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Riecks (220)
3: Read (120)  /  Moore (152)

Keyport - (12 Champs - Last: Greg Velasco in 2011  /  0 Team Titles)
Jaleel Gopaul ended a 2-year drought with a District Medal for the Red Raiders last year. They will look to make it back to back seasons with a Region rep, with #3 seed Tyler Disbrow (106), 4th-seeded Shane Zimmerman at 170, and 6th-seeded Mike McCahon at 182, looking to be their best shots.

TOP 4 SEEDS
3: Disbrow (106)
4: Zimmerman (170)

Manalapan - (97 Champs - Last: Santomarco, Baran, Benedetti in 2018  /  8 Team Titles / Last: 2017)
Alex Baran enters the Districts at a clean 36-0. If he is to win his 2nd District Title, it will put him at 119 career wins, one away from tying the school record. Paul Santomarco is seeking his 3rd District Championship, which would make him the first Brave since Nick Manochio in 2004, and 7th overall. They both received #1 seeds, as did Hunter Konstantoulas (126) and Matt Benedetti (160). Karemm Ghaida (132) and Gavin Claro (182) received 2-seeds for the Braves. If the seeds hold, it sets up an interesting all-Shore Conference Final at 132 between Ghaida and Shore's Al DeSantis.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Konstantoulas (126)  /  Baran (138)  /  Santomarco (152)  /  Benedetti (160)
2: Ghaida (132)  /  Claro (182)
3: Burke (113)  /  Keller (145)  /  Waller (170)
4: Balzano (106)  /  Zavalnik (220)  /  Kovacs (Hwt)

Red Bank Regional  -  (26 Champs - Last: Dillon Stambaugh in 2013  /  0 Team Titles)
Tucker Cochrane will look to become the Bucs' first 2-time medal winner since Tom Hinz in 2016. He opens with #4 seed Louis LaRocca of East Brunswick, a 20-bout winner. Freshman Phil Stolfa has had a strong rookie campaign for RBR. He has a tough 4/5 opener against 24-bout winner Matthew Klimkiewicz of South Brunswick. Heavyweight Justin Gooding was the lone Buc seeded in medal position, getting the #3 seed.

TOP 4 SEEDS
3: Gooding (Hwt)
4: Stolfa (120)  /  DalPra (160)  /  Principe (195)

Shore Regional - (21 Champs - Last: Al DeSantis in 2018  /  0 Team Titles)
A week after winning their first Sectional Title, the Blue Devils will take aim at winning the program's first ever District Team Title. Junior Al DeSantis is looking to join Luke Bush (2010, 2011) as the program's 2nd 2-time District Champ. He will be dropping down to 132 for the first time this season for the Districts, where he is the top seed. The Blue Devils also received #1 seeds for Jack Maida (106), Mike McGhee (145), and Taylor Sousa (195), #2 seeds for Matt Klemser (113), Gabe Scalise (120), and Jamie Mazzacco (170), and a 3-seed for Jack McCrae (160). Shore finished with a program record 7 medal winners in D24 last year, a number they have a good shot at topping this year.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Maida (106)  /  DeSantis (132)  /  McGhee (145)  /  Sousa (195)
2: Klemser (113)  /  Scalise (120)  /  Mazzacco (170)
3: McCrae (160)
4: Smith (152)

Weight To Watch
While there might be other weights with a little more star power at the top end, 182 is very interesting as 9 of the 10 entrants are all above .500, making this the deepest, and one of the most open weights here.

Team Title Prediction
This looks like it could be a three dog fight for the title. North Hunterdon comes in as the favorite, but both Manalapan and Shore have the arsenal to rack up points and make a run at this thing. Still, I'm leaning North Hunterdon here.
