Shore Stuff
Freehold Boro - (31 Champs - Last: Nico Messina in 2018  /  0 Team Titles)
Top-seeded at 120, Nico Messina will attempt to join Carlos Fontanez (1962-1964) as the only 3-time District Champs in the program's history. The Colonials will also take a shot at having multiple District Champs for the first time since Miguel Arroyo and Ben Ostner in 2007, with Michael Gagliardo (138) and Tony Dushku (145) looking to cash-in from the 2-seeds. Dushku has already split a pair of bouts with the top-seed in his weight class, Nico Vargas of Wall.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Messina (120)
2: Gagliardo (138)  /  Dushku (145)
3: Sweeny (106)
4: Vasquiez (195)

Freehold Twp - (43 Champs - Last: Clarke, Hillermeier, Quartey in 2018  /  0 Team Titles)
Avery Clarke received the top-seed at 126 pounds, and is aiming to become the program's 8th 2-time District Champion. Also seeded in medal position for the Patriots were the Schifters, Justin (120) and Jason (132), who both are seeded 2nd, while Jarrid Markowitz is the 3-seed at 220.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Clarke (126)
2: Jst Schifter (120)  /  Jas Schifter (132)
3: Markowitz (220)
4: Borromeo (106)

Manasquan - (26 Champs - Last: Todd Rinaldo in 2004  /  1 Team Title in 1979)
The Warriors are trying to snap a 14-year drought without a District Champion. Senior Ethan Dzenis, a District runner-up last season, is the #1 seed at 138, giving them a legit contender to finally end the drought.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Dzenis (138)

Raritan - (120 Champs - Last: 6 in 2018  /  9 Team Titles - Last: 2018)
The Rockets, who have won two consecutive District Team Titles, return to Region 6 after a couple years in R5. Raritan had 6 champs, and 12 medal winners overall, last year. While those numbers may be tough to match this year, they have enough firepower to win their 3rd straight Team Title. Half of the Rockets earned Top 3 seeds with George Burdick (170) and Justin Acevedo (195) earning #1's, Michael Lonnay (126), Anthony Aquilano (160), and Matt Spirko (Hwt) at #2, and #3's for James Ecklyn (152) and Anthony Bailey (182).

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Burdick (170)  /  Acevedo (195)
2: Lonnay (126)  /  Aquilano (160)  /  Spirko (Hwt)
3: Ecklyn (152)  /  Bailey (182)
4: Rafalko (138)  /  Mangano (145)  /  Lind (220)

Wall - (121 Champs - Last: 4 in 2018  /  8 Team Titles - Last: 2016)
Senior Robert Kanniard enters the Districts with 154 career wins, just five away from breaking the all-time Shore Conference record. He's the top-seed at 160 and will attempt to join Brett Donner and Blaine Woszczak, as a member of the 4-time Champion Club at Wall. Also earning top-seeds for the Knights were Cole Meyer (106), Nico Vargas (145), and Jake Whitworth (182), while Tyler Ferris (113) earned a 2-seed and Nicolas Zamaloff (138) was seeded 3rd.

TOP 4 SEEDS
1: Meyer (106)  /  Vargas (145)  /  Kanniard (160)  /  Whitworth (182)
2: Ferris (113)
3: Zamaloff (138)
4: Bruno (120)  /  Farrell (132)

Weight To Watch
While there are deeper weights, and some pretty open weights, I'll go with 195 as the one to watch as it could present a solid final if the seeds hold and we get #1 Justin Acevedo of Raritan, and undefeated #2 Tommy Hill of Northern Burlington, both of who are returning State qualifiers.

Team Title Prediction
This should be a great race. Honestly, I'm not even sure who you would consider the favorite here. Just about everyone brings a couple strong contenders. Can't see anyone running away with this because of a large number of champions, so I think the team that wins this is going to do so by springing some quarterfinal surprises and 3rd place finishes from outside the seeds. Because of that, I'm going with the Rockets.
