The Shore Conference will officially recognize National Girls and Women in Sports Day and celebrate the legacy of Title IX with a February 17 seminar benefitting student-athlete leaders from across Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Presented by Saker Shop Rites, the event is designed to spotlight the achievements, challenges, and future opportunities for female athletes and coaches.
The program, organized by Rumson-Fair Haven athletics director Beth English, provides a transformative experience focused on empowerment, connection, and growth.
“This program is designed to shift the narrative from competition to collaboration,” said English. “It gives young women the tools, confidence, and community they need to thrive in today’s sports culture— not just as athletes, but as future leaders.”
TheShoreConference.com will post an event recap, along with photos, following its completion.
Senior athletes will have the opportunity to apply for one of two $500 scholarships, awarded through an essay competition focused on leadership, resilience, and empowerment in sports.
Special thanks to Saker Shop Rites for their generosity.
